WebJul 11, 2002 · The solder will run to the heat... just rub around the outside. Your first soldering job will be "blob" jobs, but should hold. It just takes practice, like everything else. Oh.. and ACID core solder. It's what you want, but make sure you clamp the solder when you are done. Otherwise the acic will leak out, and it'll be useless. Good luck!! So when using a lead/tin alloy solder, the greater the percentage of tin, the lower the melting point of the alloy, right?
