Flood routing map
WebJun 13, 2024 · Flood routing is a numerical method, which is used to forecast the variability and celerity of a flood wave as it propagates through a river or a reservoir . Flood routing is a mechanism to ascertain the time is taken and the magnitude of flow at a point on a watershed from known or assumed hydrographs at one or more points upstream [37, 81]. WebThe FLO-2D Model was conceptualized in 1987 to predict mudflow hydraulics. It has been adapted to conduct any sort of overland and channel modeling type. This includes urban flood mapping, alluvial fans, coastal flooding, dam breach, and solar and wind power sites. FLO-2D uses QGIS and the FLO-2D Plugin to build models.
